The Facebook page is live now, and I’m announcing to the world my campaign to join the Wyoming Board of Education. This will be my first campaign, but it’s far from the first time I have worked with the schools.
From early days as a lunchtime volunteer keeping kids out of the mud on rainy days, to selling chip wheelies for the WSMA, to running the Pretzels and Nachos booth at May Fete, I have always enjoyed being involved with the schools and the community. I truly believe the community and people is what makes Wyoming City Schools so special. I want to continue to help out by serving on the board.
As a member of the Board of Education’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee from 2022 – 2023, I have worked with the members of our Board on a few projects. I see just how committed the Board members, the administrators, staff, teachers, parents, and community members are. We were able to take diverse viewpoints, and center our energy around a common goal of improving our educational offerings at Wyoming. After serving on the CAC Artificial Intelligence project, I came back in 2024 to serve on the AI advisory panel to further develop this district’s plan for working with and preparing for the realities of Artificial Intelligence.
